LACE SPIDERWEB HOOP CRAFT MATERIALS
These cute Lace Spiderwebs use easy-to-find materials to create a spooky Halloween decoration your family will love.
All you need is:
- wooden embroidery hoops
- cotton lace doilies
- a few wine corks
- black pom poms
- black tinsel pipe cleaners
- wiggle eyes
- baker’s twine
- black acrylic craft paint
LACE SPIDERWEB HOOP CRAFT INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by painting all the sides of the two recycled wine corks with black craft paint.
Set aside to dry and apply a second coat if necessary.
To create the spiderweb, fit the lace doilies loosely into the embroidery hoops.
Pull gently from the back to ensure the lace is taught and then tighten the screw at the top of the hoop.
Trim the excess lace from the back of the embroidery hoop with scissors.
Apply a thin line of Fabric Glue to the cut edge of the lace to secure. Set aside to dry.
This craft was made with cotton lace doilies from the craft store, but any type of lace would work.
To make the spiders, wrap four black pipe cleaners around each cork, twisting to secure.
Trim any excess pipe cleaner with scissors.
Bend pipe cleaners to create the spiders’ legs.
Attach the two pom poms to the tops of the wine corks for the spiders’ heads with a glue gun and glue sticks.
Glue two small wiggle eyes onto each of the pom pom spider heads with the glue gun.
Tie two tiny bows from colored baker’s twine and attach to the spiders’ necks with a glue gun and glue sticks.
Either attach the spiders permanently onto the hoop webs with a glue gun and glue sticks or use the pipe cleaner legs to connect the spiders to the lace webs.
In about 30 minutes, you’ll have two cute spiderweb decorations that are sure to become a new favorite decoration every Halloween!
