My Attempt: Ice Cream Tacos

Ok, so I’m going to be very truthful here I’m not the best cook. I actually was hoping to marry someone who loved to cook but that didn’t happen. I know you came here thinking… Ohh Ice Cream Tacos she knows what she is doing. Not really but I tried my best, and my kids and husband loved them so I’m going to say I nailed the recipe the best I can do.

I know no music- next time!

My hints:

1. Maybe use chocolate chips, not a chocolate bar like I did
2. Get the smallest flour tortillas you can
3. Add caramel sauce- it was so bare
4. Don’t over soak the tortilla in butter
5. Figure out a way to dip the tortilla into chocolate then sprinkles without having to bend tortilla
6. Hide your taco in the freezer because if you have kids they will eat it without any regrets. Or threaten them.  I wish I did both!

Now, also no judging on my photos, because I’m a mom, not a photographer. I want to share my journey, but you will have to live through my photography, one thing at a time!  I’m hoping to learn to take better pictures too, but you get the idea and don’t you want REAL instead of fake stock pictures! I found the recipe on Facebook on my phone, so I did everything from the video on my phone in the kitchen last night with my daughter.  However, you can get the full recipe which I highly recommend because the FB video is very brief and not a lot of instructions on there then there is MY video, that has my crazy instructions.

This recipe was super easy and quick to make. Sahara, my 12 yr old daughter, made four more today without my help , see she cut me out already.  She didn’t need my help I guess; she said I slowed her down and asked too many questions plus watched the video too many times.  I was trying to get the recipe right, geez!

I’m just a mom who wants to cook for her family; I might not be the best cook, but I try my best!
