Thanksgiving is such a lovely holiday. It’s a time filled with family, giving thanks and serving a feast for everyone to enjoy together. When it comes to hosting a Thanksgiving meal there’s a lot involved. Everything from planning the meal to buying the food and figuring out how to decorate the Thanksgiving table. Today I’m sharing some DIY tips for your Thanksgiving table to save you some money on this year’s holiday gathering.
Repurpose Candle Holders
Take larger topped candle holders to place on your Thanksgiving table. You can then place small pumpkins and gourds atop the repurposed candle holders. This festive look will be much enjoyed by your guests and won’t cost a whole lot to do.
Get into the Crafts
Cut some crafting paper into leaf-shaped designs to place as name tags for your guests at the Thanksgiving table. This festive fall look will surely make a great décor piece for your Thanksgiving table as a DIY inexpensive idea.
Bell Jar or Cloche
You can easily repurpose a cloche or use a bell jar glass cover to use as a DIY Thanksgiving table centerpiece. Grab some small, white pumpkins and place them inside this decorative cover, place the cover over them and put in the center of your Thanksgiving table.
Repurpose Old Bottles
Grab some old wine bottles or similar shaped glass bottles and place pretend fall style flowers and such in them. This will make for the perfect addition to any DIY Thanksgiving table décor theme. You can place the bottles at each end of the table to add a holiday feel to your sit down meal.
Use a Cornucopia
Grab a cornucopia at a local thrift store or dollar store to fill with pumpkins, gourds and similar fall themed items to place as a centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table. This won’t cost a whole lot and can look rather stylish seated on the table while you serve guests a delicious feast.
Thankful Turkey
Create your own thankful turkey for your own DIY Thanksgiving table décor. Grab a large pinecone, cut construction paper to look like feathers, then use googly eyes and other construction paper to make your turkey’s face on the front of the thankful turkey.
You can use each of these DIY Thanksgiving table décor ideas no matter how many guests you’re inviting over this holiday season. Each of these ideas can be tweaked to match your preferred theme and decoration ideas but will cost much less than going to a store to purchase all of your Thanksgiving table décor items.
